Privacy Policy — Record And Note

Last updated: 2026-07-20.

Record And Note is built to need as little of your data as possible.

What we collect. Nothing. Record And Note has no account system, no login, and no analytics or tracking SDKs of any kind. Every audio recording and every note you create stays on your device, in the app's own local storage, unless you explicitly export or share it yourself (e.g. via the Files app or the share sheet) — that is entirely your choice and outside the app's control.

Microphone. The app requests microphone access solely to record audio when you tap the record button. Recordings are written straight to local storage; the app never transmits recorded audio anywhere.

In-app purchases. Premium is sold as an auto-renewing annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, both processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) directly — we never see or store your payment details. To keep your Premium status working across your own devices, purchase/entitlement state is synced through RevenueCat, Inc., a third-party subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives a device/purchase identifier tied to your store account in order to validate your entitlement; it does not receive your recordings, notes, or any other content from the app. See RevenueCat's own privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/

Data sharing. We do not sell, rent, or share any data, because we do not collect any in the first place.

Children. Record And Note is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age — see above.

Changes. If this policy changes, the update will be reflected here (this document is the single source of truth) with a new "Last updated" date.
